High school is when the stakes go up: college applications, athletics, and a schedule that has to fit real life. If your family has a Texas Education Freedom Account (TEFA), you may be able to use it for accredited online high school at Strike School, with a certified teacher guiding your teen every step of the way.

How TEFA works for high schoolers at Strike School

  • Strike School is approved as a school for TEFA on the private school track. Families on that track may receive up to $10,500 a year. The State of Texas sets award amounts and eligibility through the Texas Education Freedom Accounts program.
  • Order the Strike School K-12 Tutoring Package in Odyssey: $553 a month. It includes one 1:1 session a week with a certified teacher plus online resources, and it covers our Bundle plan (live Virtual Classroom plus weekly 1:1 coaching). It can also be used for our Learning Coach plans.
  • Want more 1:1 time? Families can order more than one package.

NCAA-approved core courses

Strike School’s core courses are approved by the NCAA for student-athletes, so your teen can take them while training and competing. Our NCAA high school code is 853455. Share it with your teen’s coach or recruiter.

AP courses and college credit

  • AP options for students ready for college-level work.
  • Dual enrollment with ASU, so students can earn college credit while still in high school.

A personalized plan, not a one-size-fits-all schedule

  • A certified teacher builds a personalized learning plan around your teen’s goals.
  • Mastery-based learning: students show 80% or higher mastery before moving on, so gaps don’t follow them to college.
  • Small live classes of 4-6 students in our Virtual Classrooms.
  • Support for every learner, with or without an IEP or 504.

Accredited by Cognia

Strike School is accredited by Cognia, so your teen’s high school work comes from an accredited school.

How to get started

  1. Have an active TEFA account. Families apply through the state’s Texas Education Freedom Accounts program. The 2026-27 application window has closed; new families can join the state’s interest list for 2027-28.
  2. Enroll with Strike School. Take our 60-second Plan Finder, then complete our enrollment form.
  3. Order in Odyssey. Find Strike School and order the K-12 Tutoring Package. You’ll see two Tutoring Package listings; either one works, because we assign your teen’s teacher.
  4. Start learning with a certified teacher and a personalized plan.

Note: the $43 first-month trial isn’t available for ESA-funded students, including students using TEFA.
