Texas families have a new way to pay for private education: the Texas Education Freedom Account, or TEFA. Strike School is approved as a school for TEFA, so Texas families may be able to use their TEFA funds for accredited online K-12 school with a certified teacher. Here’s how it works, step by step.

What TEFA can cover at Strike School

• Strike School is approved as a school on the TEFA private school track.
• Families on that track may receive up to $10,500 a year toward tuition. The State of Texas sets award amounts and decides who qualifies, so check your own award.
• Homeschool-track families can use TEFA with us too, through our Homeschool Online curriculum.
• TEFA funds may cover all or part of your tuition, depending on your award and what you order.

How to use your TEFA at Strike School

1. Have an active TEFA account. Families apply through the state’s Texas Education Freedom Accounts program. The 2026-27 application window has closed; new families can join the state’s interest list for 2027-28.
2. Enroll with Strike School. Take our 60-second Plan Finder or compare plans, then complete our enrollment form.
3. Order in Odyssey. Once your TEFA account is active, log in to Odyssey, find Strike School, and order the option for your track (see below). You’ll see two Tutoring Package listings. Either one works, because we assign your child’s teacher.
4. Start learning. Your student gets a personalized learning plan and gets started.

Note: the $43 first-month trial isn’t available for ESA-funded students, including students using TEFA.

What you can order with TEFA

• Private school track: Strike School K-12 Tutoring Package, $553 a month. One 1:1 tutoring session a week with a certified teacher, plus online resources. It covers our Bundle plan (live Virtual Classroom plus weekly 1:1 coaching) and can also be used for our Learning Coach plans. Want more 1:1 time? You can order more than one package.
• Homeschool track: Independent Online Curriculum Access, $1,500 for the full school year. Our Homeschool Online K-12 digital curriculum, which the parent facilitates and grades.
